Kindergarten and School Readiness
The transition to school is an important milestone. Our Government-approved Kindergarten program supports children in developing the confidence, independence and foundational skills they need as they prepare for Prep.
Delivered by qualified Early Childhood Teachers, our Kindy program follows the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and uses play-based learning to support children's social, emotional and cognitive development.
Children are encouraged to build communication skills, participate in group experiences, follow routines and become increasingly independent. Early literacy and numeracy concepts are introduced naturally through stories, conversations, creative activities and everyday play.
Eligible families may also access the Queensland Government's Free Kindy initiative, providing up to 15 hours of kindergarten per week for 40 weeks of the year.
Extra Curricular Activities
More Included in Your Child's Day
Early learning at Jacaranda extends beyond the classroom. Our extra-curricular programs give children new opportunities to move, create, connect and learn about the world around them.
YOGA
Weekly yoga sessions encourage movement, flexibility and relaxation while helping children develop body awareness and concentration.
MUSIC & DANCE
Hey Dee Ho music and dance sessions use music, movement and interactive activities to support language, coordination, creativity and social development.
INTER-GENERATIONAL PROGRAM
Our intergenerational program brings children together with residents from Harbour Quays Aged Care Home for shared activities and meaningful social experiences.
ABORIGINAL CULTURE
Regular experiences with Jellurgal Aboriginal Cultural Centre introduce children to Aboriginal culture through storytelling, art, weaving and other engaging activities.

A Safe, Supportive Place to Learn and Grow
Children learn best when they feel safe, secure and valued.
Our educators use gentle guidance and positive reinforcement to help children develop confidence, build relationships and learn to express themselves. Learning spaces are thoughtfully arranged to encourage exploration, creativity and age-appropriate independence.
We also value open communication with families. By working together and sharing information about each child's interests, routines and development, we can provide more individualised and responsive care.
